The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020 will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.
The news has been confirmed by Deputy Director of IIT-D, M Balakrishnan.
The official website for the GATE registration has been set up, however, the link for online application will be activated in
September this year according to the schedule. The portal for GATE 2020 will be gate.iitd.ac.in.
As per the schedule, the GATE 2020 will be conducted in February first week and the admit cards will be released in January.
The result is likely to be announced by March 2020
GATE is jointly conducted by Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The operations related to the exams are managed organizing institutes from the eight zonal institutes namely IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Guwahati, IIT Rookee and IISc Bangalore.
GATE is held for 24 papers. Application forms for the exams will be available tentatively from September 2019 while the entrance exams will be held in February 2020. The entrance exam is computer based.
It is to be noted that GATE 2021 will be held by IIT Bombay.
